Two months full pay leave, in addition to school vacations, after six years service, to be granted, although it will be observed, that the effect will be to give Educational Officers two months more full pay leave, counting school vacations, every six years, than Ordinary Civil Officers. It should be clearly understood that this additional leave will be at the expense of the Officer, or elsewhere outside the Colony, which it is hoped that the Junior Masters could not otherwise afford to do.
This is also my official opinion that the indulgence asked for by Mr. Lightfoot (1221) should be granted.
